thread is excited to partner with the State of Alaska Child Care Program Office to offer the COVID-19 Child Care Stabilization GrantThe funding for this grant is possible through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), with the State of Alaska’s Child Care Program Office as the lead agency and thread as the intermediary for grant distribution. The application period for this grant closes December 31, 2021.

Unfortunately the program does not meet this criteria and is not eligible to apply for this grant. To be eligible to receive this grant, the Relative or In-Home Care must be approved by the State of Alaska by March 11, 2021 and still approved at the time of the application. Unfortunately the Relative or In-Home Care does not meet this criteria and is not eligible to apply for this grant. PART 6: ACKNOWLEDGMENT STATEMENT
By submitting and signing this application:
  • I agree to use the funds only for the categories and purposes outlined in Part 4 of this application. Note: The program does not need to spend the grant within any specified time period, and can move funds between categories without prior approval.

  • I understand that it is my responsibility to maintain records and other documentation to support the use of the funds received.

  • I understand that this grant may impact the program's taxable income. I will seek assistance as necessary from the IRS.gov, a tax consultant or the small business development center for guidance.

  • I understand that this grant is subject to audit, and monitoring via surveys, focus groups, etc. I agree to participate in these activities as necessary or requested.

  • I understand that the "grant period" is one (1) month from the date of the program receiving the funds.

  • During the one (1) month "grant period," I certify that:
  1. CDC Guidelines: When open and providing services, I will implement policies in line with guidance and orders from corresponding state, territorial, tribal, and local authorities and, to the greatest extent possible, implement policies in line with guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  2. Workforce: For each employee (including lead teachers, aides, and any other staff who are employed by the program to work in transportation, food preparation, or other type of service), I must continue paying at least the same amount of weekly wages and maintain the same benefits (such as health insurance and retirement) for the duration of the grant period. I understand that I may not involuntarily furlough employees from the date of application submission through the duration of the grant period.

  3. Tuition/Copayments: I will provide relief from tuition payments and copayments for the families enrolled in the program, to the extent possible, and will prioritize such relief for families struggling to make either type of payment.
