Introduction
What is a Quality Initiative?
A Quality Initiative (QI) is an opportunity for early childhood education programs and early educators to participate in professional development around a specific early care and learning topic.

This Alaska SEED Registry and ServicePortal Quality Initiative (QI) will provide applicants training on:
  • Register via Alaska SEED ServicePortal
  • How to register for a thread training
  • Upload documents and title documents in the ServicePortal
  • How to complete training criteria to assure correct link to new comprehensive transcript
  • April 23 session for Center Administrators ONLY: will review program profile in the ServicePortal

To be eligible to receive the QI stipend and training hours, you must:
  • Be an early childhood or school-age professional operating or working as a paid employee of a licensed or approved child care facility, Head Start or School District Pre-elementary program.
  • Have a current/active membership in the Alaska SEED Registry
Applicants will attend a two-hour training and complete pre- and post-survey questions.  Applicants who complete these requirements will be awarded a stipend and two-hours of Alaska SEED-approved training.
