Nomination CriteriaThe nominee must be an individual who has made significant contributions to strengthening and advancing the quality of early childhood education in Alaska. This includes individuals who have worked directly in a licensed child care program or those who have actively worked to advance licensed and high-quality child care across the state. The nominee should currently be working in, or have recently retired from a licensed child care program in the state of Alaska, or have made notable contributions to the field in other impactful ways. While at least five years of experience in the field is preferred, it is not required. The nominee must exhibit the following qualities:- Integrity, Passion, and Professionalism: The nominee shows integrity, passion, professionalism, and serves as a positive influence on others in the child care community.
- Commitment to Excellence: The nominee consistently strives for high standards and delivers exceptional service in child care.
- Achievement, Perseverance, and Resilience: The nominee has made substantial contributions to early childhood education, overcoming challenges to achieve meaningful results.
- Considerable and Innovative Contributions: Whether through direct practice or leadership, the nominee has made lasting, impactful contributions that have advanced the quality of child care in Alaska.
- Longevity and Dedication: The nominee has demonstrated significant longevity and commitment to the child care sector, having consistently contributed to the improvement and growth of the field.
- Helping and Encouraging Others: Actively supports, mentors, and encourages others in the child care community, elevating the sector as a whole.
- Experience: While at least five years in the field is preferred, the nominee should demonstrate significant and lasting impact in early childhood education.
Recognition
